The famous Mercedes OM-616 engine made under license has been further developed with Force Motors’ own R & D and with assistance from M/s. Ricardo of UK and M/s. AVL of Austria, to create a large and modern facility of IDI, Direct injection, turbo / intercooled and Tractor Engines. The critical components such as cylinder blocks and precision cylinder heads etc. are made in Force Motors’ own foundry. These are machined using elaborate and modern mass production methods – both transfer lines and Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) flexible machining systems. Mercedes standard precision and durability is built into the reliable and modern engines.
Force Motors Engineering R&D centre is one of the most advanced Research and Development centers. Force Motors encourages innovation and motivates the 500 odd expert design engineers to create path-breaking automotive designs.
Our R&D facility includes hardware, software, verification and validation, and test facilities which are utilized during the complete product development cycle. The process includes creative vehicles styling and design by our CAE team, well-equipped with the most advanced software. At Force Motors, every vehicle is run though durability test lab, engine test lab and driveline test setups before it hits the road. Apart from test labs Force Motors has in-house torture track (Pave Track) for complete vehicle durability testing.
The entire new range of vehicles for Force has been engineered and developed in-house. An elaborate and state-of-the-art tool room has been created for this purpose which has the latest high precision and versatile machines for manufacturing tools of various sizes.
Force Motors’ Tooling Division now offers expertise gained over the years to provide end-to-end solutions (design to manufacturing) for all the tooling requirements.
Sheet metal tooling
Force Motors provides solutions for design and manufacture of sheet metal tooling or stamping dies for automobile chassis parts and body panels. Here, all critical components undergo formability simulation using latest simulation software. Force Motors provides tremendous value addition via concurrent engineering to customers who are involved in our tooling division at the early stages of their design.
Our other offerings include design and manufacturing of plastic injection moulds, wielding fixtures, pattern and pattern equipment.
Force Motors assembles and tests the Mercedes Benz engines for C, E, S, GL and M Class cars and SUVs made in India since 1997. The portfolio has gradually grown to include the front and rear axles for the luxury cars as well.
The newer models, including the prestigious and most advanced S Class engines for the top of the line S Class cars made in India are now assembled at Force Motors.
